What is an Enamel Assembled Tank? A Simple Overview of Its Structure and Applications

Enamel-assembled tanks are storage tanks assembled on-site using enamel-coated steel plates, hoops, self-locking bolts, sealants, and other accessories. These tanks combine the strength of steel with the corrosion resistance of enamel coating, making them the preferred storage solution for livestock wastewater treatment projects, landfill leachate treatment, municipal wastewater treatment plants, industrial wastewater treatment, kitchen waste treatment, biogas projects, and biomass natural gas projects. Enamel-assembled tanks offer a short construction period, strong corrosion resistance, easy capacity expansion and relocation, and a lifespan of up to 30 years. The tank surface is smooth, glossy, vibrant, and can be customized in color according to user requirements, making it especially suitable for modern plant construction needs.

Enamel-coated steel plates are produced by fusing enamel with the surface of steel plates at a high temperature of 820°-930°C, forming a firm, chemically inert inorganic coating. This new material is known as enamel-coated steel plate. The technique of combining the strength of steel with the corrosion resistance of enamel is referred to as enamel technology, currently the most advanced anti-corrosion treatment for steel plates. The core manufacturing processes of enamel-coated steel plates include steel plate pretreatment, enamel coating, and high-temperature fusion.

The installation time of enamel-assembled tanks depends on the tank's size and the complexity of the installation process. Generally, installation is very quick, typically taking only one-third of the time required for carbon steel welded tanks or concrete tanks. All assembly materials and accessories for enamel-assembled tanks are manufactured in the factory and then transported to the project site for installation.

The tank assembly follows a top-to-bottom installation sequence, with each layer raised step-by-step by a hoist until the entire tank is assembled. Each layer is made from enamel-coated steel plates, and a specialized sealant is applied between adjacent plates to create a robust, sealed barrier that also protects the surfaces of neighboring plates from damage. Appropriate fasteners are installed between each layer, and torque adjustments are made according to standards. After assembly, the tank undergoes a water and pressure test to ensure no leakage, seepage, or moisture issues.

Our installation team, consisting of highly experienced professionals in enamel-assembled tank installation, handles the process. Their expertise and guidance ensure your project is completed safely and efficiently.
